Through ASB, I have had the opportunity to be a Freshmen Mentor, a volunteer for the Special Needs program, and participate in many other community and school based activities. I am also a member of MP's Chamber Choir, a member of the National Honor Society and am involved in my church's youth group.
Awards from school - I have been on the honor roll since sixth grade and in 8th and 9th grade I received the Most Inspirational student award. I was also nominated to be on Homecoming Court this year.
Community Involvement - I am involved with my Church youth group and am currently the president of the girls my age. I have been able to volunteer for many different groups through my church. Recently, we made coloring books to be sent overseas for children. I have also been able to help with Miracle on State Street, a program where classes at MP "adopt" an underprivileged family during the Christmas season and provides them with presents and a Christmas dinner. I also was able to help shop for the Operation Marysville Community Christmas store.

Continuing Education (College, Trade school, etc.) - I plan to attend Brigham Young University-Provo and major in Communications and minor in Fashion Merchandising. I then want to work at a fashion magazine.
College Major - Major in Communications and minor in Fashion Merchandising.
Why you decided to compete for the Royalty Court? I knew this would be a great opportunity to meet new people and learn about my community and the surrounding areas. So far, its been that and so much more! I expect to have a fun time while still working hard to make sure everyone else (people watching parades) have fun too.
What experiences so far in the festival
is something you will always remember?
I love going to the parade every year and seeing all the floats! A lot of
creativity goes into making them.
Who is your role model and why?
I
can't pick just one! So many people in my life influence my decisions and help
me be the best I can be.
Your advice for future Royalty Candidates
-
Just enjoy yourself. If you stress out about everything through the process, you
will miss so many chances to meet new people and have fun! Also, smile.
Constantly. :)
