Have you ever attended the Strawberry Festival?  Yes If so, what is your favorite memory of the Festival? The carnival was one of my favorites about the festival, as well as the anticipation of seeing the whole parade. One of my favorite floats was always the seafaring captains/pirates on their jumpy car and the motorcyclists as well.

Why did you decide to compete for the Royalty Court? I wanted to be a part of something I always looked forward to watching myself (the parade) and when the opportunity was literally handed to me through one of the staff at my school- I couldn't just bypass it.

What is your favorite tv show and/or movie? I don't have tv but my favorite movie is Pretty Woman.

What is your favorite song? Worship songs are one of my favorites.

What is the last book that you read? A book by Ted Dekker.

Who inspires you the most? Choir teacher at my church. Why? One of inspirations is my choir teacher at my church. He is one of those people that seems to have everything balanced and intact from his family, to managing his career, to managing SEVERAL choirs, and so much more-all before the age of 30. All of this gives me a motivation to work hard and achieve all I can in life, just like him.

If you were stranded on a deserted island – what would be the one thing that you would that you would miss most (other than your family and friends)? I would miss the freedom of being able to go where ever I please. Even though that deserted island maybe a huge place-the fact that I can't step off of it would be enough to leave me unhappy.

If you could travel back in time, what year would you go to and why? I would like to go to the time frame when the world was much simpler- technology was low key and you never moved more than five miles from your birth place. I like simplicity and avoiding unnecessary complications that today's world brings. I would like to bring the knowledge that we have today, though, back to that time for medical purposes as well as for education.

What advice can you give for aspiring future Royalty Candidates?
Be yourself and have fun can not be emphasized anymore than it already has been. It's the key to anything you do - if you fake yourself you won't get very far, if you don't have fun- then all your motivation is gone and then what's the point in even wasting your time.
