MARYFEST ROYALTY COURT
BIOGRAPHIES
Ambassador Angella Murray
Angella Murray is one of Maryfest’s 2004-2005 Ambassadors. She is a Senior at Marysville-Pilchuck HS and involved in Fastpitch Softball and Golf at the school. Angella also works part-time.
She was born in Everett to Kathy and Phillip
Murray and has lived in Marysville for about 12 years.
Angella decided to compete for the Royalty Court on the advice of a previous Maryfest Royalty member. The combination of FUN, meeting new people, experiencing new things and the festival atmosphere helped her make her decision. She also wanted to have the opportunity to become a better public speaker and make new friends from around the State.
As an Ambassador Angella expects to enjoy the many parades we’ll attend and will do her best to represent Marysville. She expects to make a lot of new friends and to grow from all of the new experiences. These experiences range from the autograph seeker to the pretty princess in pink wanting to be her friend.
Her favorite memory of the Festival was when she was a ballerina at the Pilchuck Dance Studio. She had to walk between two really tall ballerinas and that made her hands sweat! Through all of the nervousness, she had a great time in her tutu prancing around with her fellow ballerina friends.
Angella’s role model is James Bond, yep, agent 007. Why? “Because he can solve any problem and always gets out of difficult situations while still being a studly world hero!” she exclaims.
Her future plans include going to Central Washington University because it’s near the mountains with lots of recreation opportunities at hand and it isn’t too far away from home. Angella hopes to major is Sociology with Criminology as her second choice. Her goal is to become a counselor.
Angella’s advice to future Royalty Candidates? No matter what you do – get along with everyone you meet and have an open mind. An open-minded person can lead you to better opportunities. Just be yourself and if you don’t make it – this just wasn’t your thing and something better will come along.
