WELCOME! From Maryfest - Hello and welcome! My name is Kaija Wilcox, your 2010-2011 Marysville Strawberry Festival Queen. This is year 79 for the annual
Festival and it keeps getting better each time. Princess Haley, Princess
Ella and I are having a blast so far with the parades. But the one we’re
looking forward to the most is the Strawberry Festival Grand Parade. The theme this year is Summertime Fun. I think this is especially appropriate because Marysville is going to have lots of entertaining things to do at the festival. I’d like to thank all of the volunteers and sponsors of the Marysville Strawberry Festival. Without them, all of this wouldn’t be possible. It’s a tradition that the whole community looks forward to and they’re responsible for making it happen. We are grateful for all they do. On behalf of the Royalty Court, we look forward to seeing you as representatives of Marysville at the Grand Parade. It’s going to be GREAT!

for a week of events I am sure you will enjoy. Our volunteers have been
working very hard to make this week memorable A big THANK YOU to all the board members and volunteers for all their planning and hard work they have put into this year’s festival. Also to the City of Marysville, Tulalip Tribes, and all our sponsors THANK YOU for helping to make this year outstanding! I hope you will be able to come and enjoy all the food, events, and “Summertime Fun” that this year’s festival has to offer.
Angie Miller, 2010-2011 President Maryfest
Dennis Kendall, Mayor (A Past-President of Maryfest)
From the Tulalip Tribes - On behalf of the
Tulalip Tribes, welcome to the 79th Annual
Marysville/Tulalip Strawberry Festival. The Tulalip people
take great pride in our strong partnership with Marysville
during this event. Our sense of community stems back to the
Point Elliot Treaty of 1855 which brought a number of
villages together on tribal lands adjacent to Marysville.
Together as friends and neighbors we hope this Festival offers a peek at the entertainment, culture, history and sense of community our area offers. During festivities we invite you to visit our nationally acclaimed Tulalip Resort Casino, outlet mall, amphitheatre and restaurants on the west side of I-5. Enjoy your stay and please come back soon! Mel Sheldon, Jr., Chairman
